"I know life's been owning us all on the regular, some more than most, but come on - life isn't about that.

Life is when you're swimming in the ocean of shit, and you hit a patch of refreshing, cool, icy, shit-free water. And you swim around in it for a bit, wash your face with it, maybe even take a mouthful in to gurgle that taste of shit out of your mouth, and you ENJOY IT, because you know that it's only a matter of time before it gets contaminated with shit again.

And then you start swimming all over again, looking for the next patch of shit-free water.

Sometimes you see it from a mile away, and it takes you months to get there, but you finally do. And sometimes you see it from afar, but by the time you get there, it's all covered in shit again. And sometimes it hits you suddenly, like when you break the surface of the water for a breath of shit-smelling air, and you realize that the water's shit-free. And sometimes you think the water's free of shit, and you take a big gulpful only to realize that the shit was floating beneath the surface, beyond view, and you have a mouthful of shit when you were expecting the opposite. But that's life.

The patches of fresh water in the ocean of shit that we eternally swim through. That's life."
